On Monday my sister gave birth to an 8lb 9oz baby girl, Isabel love. I’m pretty excited to be a new uncle and godparent for the first time, although I haven’t seen much of her since she’s been home as I’ve been a little under the weather and didn’t want to pass anything onto her.
It’s my brother’s birthday at the end of the month an we’re having a party tonight for him, I think it was meant to be a surprise but he ended up finding out somehow, I guess it’s difficult to keep that a secret for more than a day or two. My dad and sister are coming up from Telford for the party which is pretty cool because I don’t get to see them too often, especially my sister, she suffers from cystic fibrosis so it’ll be good to see her.
In general pokers going pretty well, I’m beating $100NL full ring for 6bb/100 over around 20k hands and I’m now confident I can beat it for my initial goal of 1bb/100. I haven’t been putting in a tonne of volume this month because I’ve been working on my game some more and haven’t been feeling too well recently but I’m feeling a lot better now and raring to go. I’m going to look to play another 30k hands this month at $100NL full ring and then aim for a 200k hand month in April. I’ve heard there may be some changes to the games in April so I’m looking forward to seeing what they are, hopefully they don’t mess up my routine too much whilst I adjust to them.
Some of you guys have been asking me why I still don’t have my photo showing as my pokerstars avatar and bio, the reason was because my photos weren’t good enough, I was saving the photo’s through msn paint which made the picture quality worse (noob mistake), then there were a few issues with the background and shadows, luckily I think I’ve got it right now, I haven’t been told it’s been rejected yet so hopefully that means they’ve accepted it, if so I should have my photo up within a week or so. Be warned though, it’s not that much prettier than the smeagol picture I have as my avatar now.
